I have decided that I adore the macro world! Er...well, or is it the "micro" world?? I call it the macro world because that's the camera lens through which I examine and photolog it. My friend, however, pointed out that it's really the MICRO world--I'm looking at the teeny tiniest up-close-and-personal details of things. So, whether you call it the micro world or the macro world, just know that I LOVE it!!
What looks like an ordinary bougainvillea plant ....
or through a macro lens...
becomes so much more extraordinary!!
I love this post so much sharilyn! And you are right, the little flower has a heart shaped petal. You are great in noticing this kind of thing!
ReplyDeleteheart shaped! splendid observation!
ReplyDeletenice pics! it was like watching NAtional Geographic on a blog.
How can you SEE that? Amazing. Utterly amazing.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is currently torn over whether she wants a microscope or a telescope for her next birthday. I said telescope, because then she can see the beauty in the big things. I've just changed my mind, though.
a beautiful study on macro - gorgeous color
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors! I love that. I still can't believe that God sees me as more beautiful than other things like this that He's created. He's amazing!
ReplyDeleteBilly, good luck with that choice. It's hard to go wrong with either a telescope or a microscope, but either way you see amazing things that God has done (psalms 19:1-3)
Wow! Breathtaking pictures. I can't wait to have time to take those kind of pictures with my camera! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday sweet friend!
I always appreciate your attention to the smallest details. You bring out what we either cannot see or quickly turn our attention away from. I used to have a macro lens in college, then years later after I had my first child, I absentmindedly left my whole camera bag on the roof of my car . . . being preoccupied with all the new baby gear and all. I've since bought a new camera, of course, but I never did get a macro lens . . . and it makes ALL the difference! Something for me to save up for, I guess.
ReplyDelete~Happy Birthday~
