God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
The wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting the hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things
right if I surrender to His will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.

Hmmm. I don't believe I've ever seen this poem in its entirety before. We usually only hear the first part quoted--as an acceptance of life as it is, the good and the bad. I really love the last half ...so powerful...so very true...with the focus being not on ourselves so much as it is on Him.
I've never seen the whole thing either. very nice
