Here they are, God's wonderful feathered flying (mostly!) creations... just like us, they come in all shapes and sizes and colors and faces... some walk, some run, some waddle, some swim, and, yes, some even fly!! : ) But most of all, they give glory to God... just by "being"--His creation... His magnificent, beautiful, wonderful creation...
Happy Bird Day, dear biiiirrrrrds!
And God said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth." ~Genesis 1:20-22
Happy Bird Day to you!
Oh Sharilyn... =)
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Bird Day then. Did you take all the pictures posted? I particularly love the 4th picture, that cute red.
I love birds for one big reason, their ability to fly. It seems like immense freedom to me. I like that.
Sadly, only crows, blackbirds, and the occasional cardinal are around here this time of year. It was nice to see a seagull again. I'd almost forgotten what they looked like...
ReplyDeleteI love that second pic. It almost looks like that bird is trying to get you. RUN SHARILYN!! RUN!!!!
ReplyDeletei love the pic of you with that huge bird. You look pretty calm for someone sitting so close to a ??? what kind of bird is that anyways??
ReplyDeletestar--yes, all these photos are mine. my favorite is the duck with his bill tucked under his feathers. i love the details and colors!
ReplyDeletebilly...well, you could always get a seagull fix by watching Nemo! i love them in that movie; they truly captured the seagull way...MINE!! my favorite winter bird back in MI (where I grew up) was the chickadee...so plump and cute!
