fire and ice...

So, today is just a short and, hopefully, fun post... a little guessing game. I call these photos below "fire and ice." What do you think they really are? (hint: they are neither fire nor ice!)

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot.
I wish you were either one or the other!

  2. I think the first ones are of a santa beard with a light inside, all out of focus. The last one is melting frost on your windshield or window? I have to say, I am totally intrigued and MUST know the answer ASAP! :)

  3. Okay, my guess is that it is a street light shining through a window that is wet from rain and the last one is a different view or different light. Pretty cool looking, though!

  4. I'm guessing a dark room with a bright light under a sweater, but I honestly have no real idea.

I almost did a guessing picture on my blog this week too. That's kinda funny.

  5. thanks, you guys, for joining in my little bit of fun! you're all the best!! :) stardust, however, was the closest to the answer, though you all came up with some creative guesses!!

drum roll, please................ all pictures are of the same subject, though with the focus done a little differently for the final shot..... they are......a sunset photographed through a glass of white wine! weird and wonderful, huh?? the last photo was taken first (w/the most sunlight) and the macro focus was actually ON the sweating glass itself. the others were taken with the lens right up against the glass and focusing on the sun itself.

thanks again for playing... i hope it was fun for you, too! :)
